Victoria Station Upgrade

In June 2011 Reliable were successful in achieving a Contract with Joint Venture Vinci BAM Nuttall on the Victoria Station Upgrade. The reconfiguration of the station is expected to be completed in 2018.

Luton Dunstable Busway

Reliable have successfully secured a contract with BAM Nuttall Ltd on the Luton Dunstable Busway that is due to be completed in late 2012.
The route largely follows a former railway line. The new bus lane will provide a fast and reliable public transport connection between the centre of Dunstable and Luton as well as Luton airport.

Race for Life

Janet Raeburn and Chris Howe from the head office ran the Race for Life 5k run on 26/06/2011 at Herne Bay. Over 2,000 runners competed and Janet and Chris raised over £250 for Cancer Research.

Reliable Achieve Investor in People Bronze

Reliable have been successful in upgrading their Investor in People status from Standard to Bronze. The management would like to thank all staff for their time and input in attaining this achievement. Well done to all.

Paddington Integrated Project

December 2010 - We were successful in securing a new contract with Carillion PLC, working to provide a new step free entrance to the Hammersmith and City Line Station on the canal side with access to the new Taxi facility.

Rail Audit – Link Up

In September 2010, We successfully passed the Rail audit for our link up accreditation under the sentinel system.

New Offices

In October 2010 due to the company expanding especially in the London area, new offices were acquired in the Kings Cross area.

East London Line

In 2007 we were successful in securing a contract with Carillion and Balfour Beatty Joint Venture on the up grade of the East London Line, This is still ongoing but we envisage that this will be drawing to a close in the first half of 2011.

Denzil Greenwood

Denzil Greenwood has transferred from the East London Line up grade project where he was the Rail Implementation Manager. He was responsible for recruitment of Train Drivers, Shunters, Engineering Supervisors (ES), Controller of Site Safety (COSSs) and all Safety critical and protection staff. He was on the project through Reliable Rail.

Carillion Management Systems

December 2010 we were successful in securing Carillion Management Systems (CMS) approval which put the Reliable Group on their preferred suppliers list which allows us to supply qualified personnel in the Rail and Construction industries direct to Carillion.

Taxi way and ramp

December 2010 we were successful in securing a contract with Carillion at Paddington where Carillion are constructing a new Taxi way and ramp.

RAF Marham new runway

November 2010 we were successful in securing a contract with BAM Nuttall at RAF Marham where a new runway is under construction.

Bill Keyte

Mr. Bill Keyte has taken a step back but still on call. Bill was our Quality Assurance Manager and was instrumental in setting up ISO 9001:2000 and setting up the Rail Manuals. It is with great regret that he has departed Reliable and gone to the taking of long walks with a club in one hand and a dimpled ball in the other. We all wish him the very best for the future.

Tottenham Court Road project

August 2010 we were successful in securing the Tottenham Court Road project supplying personnel to the joint venture between Vinci and Bam Nuttall for the new Tottenham Court Road Station for Crossrail.

Kings Cross Rail Yard

May 2010 we were successful in securing 2 contracts for Kings Cross Rail Yard, assisting in redeveloping the old Rail Yard area for BAM Nuttall.

"Outstanding Contribution" awarded

Brian Greene accepted an award from BBC JV for Outstanding Contribution to the East London Line Project, the award was presented to him by Mike Casebourse the Project Director.

Training Latest Updates

We are pleased to report that Baljinder Singh Nijjar (Baz) and Tom Lawlor have both completed their NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Safety & Health.

ISO Update

Our Quality Systems have been successfully audited and upgraded to include the requirements of ISO 9001:2008.

Olympic Contracts Signed

February 2009 saw "Reliable" awarded contract by BAM Nuttall Ltd to supply labour to the Olympic Park.

NVQ Milestone Reached

January 2009 saw our 100th NVQ L2/3 reached in our current program of staff training and development.

NVQ Award – Lynnette Crofskey

Carpenter Lynnette Crofskey working for Reliable on the East London Line Extension recently secured her level 2 NVQ award in Construction Formwork. The award was presented by North section project manager Colin Brady who also complimented Lynette's employer Brian Greene, Managing Director of Reliable Contractors for his efforts in promoting the projects objectives in personnel development and equality,Inclusivity and Diversity.

ISO 9001:2000 Pre-Audit Review

The Reliable Group successfully passed the initial ISO9001:2000 assessment with an expected completion date in October 2008.

Glen Brissenden - Taylor Woodrow

Vaidas Mazuravicius started with the company 12 years ago as a Chain Boy. His determination combined with successful training and development has led him to achieve his new position. This success demonstrates the advantages of our staff development program of which we can all feel proud.

Janet Raeburn joins Company

Janet Raeburn has joined the company as the Training Administrator. Janet will be assisting the Quality Assurance manager as a Quality Assurance Inspector.

Chris Howe promoted to Office Manager

Chris Howe joined the company in Feb 2005 as our financial administrator with special responsibility for Payroll and Accounts. As Office Manager, she heads an Administrative team and retains her financial role.

Link-up approval first achieved
